"Play" Group

Meet Cale's "play" group
This is Ella and Luke. We meet every Thursday for a couple of hours. They are not quite old enough to really play yet, but it is a fun time to get together with other moms.

This was our first time at play group and Cale pretty much slept the whole time. We propped them up on the couch for a photo. Luke was nice enough to put his arm around Cale and hold him up.

Cale has just recently started to really smile. It is the greatest thing ever. We were on the way out the door to meet his play group and I just had to take his picture. He was obviously very excited to see his new friends.

Cale was trying to show Ella and Luke how big is muscles are.

2nd Month

Cale is getting bigger and stronger everyday. He loves his tummy time with his dad. He can hold his head up for quite a while now and really likes doing it too. When he gets tired it can be a little scary because his head comes crashing down and headbutts anything it its way.

Cale is over the being swaddled thing. Now give him his pacifier and he is ready for his nap.

This is Cale with his great grandma. He loved looking at her bright red blouse.Thank you Aunt Tona for this very comfy pillow. This onesies he has on is 3 months. He is about 6 weeks here and already busting out of it. Brian and I went last weekend to buy some 6 month onesies.

Bath Time

The top is a Cale's very first real bath. He was not very happy about it. He actually cried through most of it. Now it is his favorite place to be. When he gets in he is so relaxed and chill that sometimes he even falls asleep.

First Month

When we got home from the hospital Cale's finger nails were already so long. I tried to cut them but like every new mom I was paranoid of cutting his little finger...well sure enough, on about the 4th finger, I cut him. I felt so bad I thought I would never try to cut them again. I could not find the gloves so I used socks:)
Babies make such fun faces when they are sleeping. He kept smiling so we had to get a picture. After about 5 tries we got one. Brian absolutely loves this picture.
He is all swaddled and ready for his nap.
Very photogenic already!

Arrival

Mothers and Fathers try to tell you about the feeling you get when you first see your baby. They say there is nothing like it, and now I know what they mean. I looked at Cale and tears instantly filled my eyes. I looked up at Brian and knew from his tears he was feeling the same.

4th of July Arrival

After 3 days of contractions and no sleep, we decided to head to the hospital.
This is me getting ready to go at about 12:00am on the 4th.

The Happy Family just minutes after Cale was born.
