Another fun filled month has come and gone. We had another trip to Colorado and Brian's graduation in Missouri. Cale is walking all over the place now. There is no stopping him. Before when we would go out to run errands he would not want to be put down EVER! Now, he is off and running. He wants to discover and learn about all his surrounding. When we are in a new place he barely even notices where I am because there is too much stuff to explore.
Cale has also been enjoying having his dad home for a few weeks. The timing couldn't be better for Brian to have time off. Cale has learned that dad is really fun. just the other day I came up the stairs to find a large fort in our bedroom. Cale and Brian were under the tent having a great time together.

My mom had Owen at her house for about a week and then they came to our house for a couple days. It was the first time he and Cale really got to interact with each other which was really fun to watch.

Cale was watching his big cousin show him how it's done.

Next, all of us (Mom, Owen, Cale and I) loaded up and drove to Amy's house to take Owen back home and for a short visit. It was a 10 hour drive but both boys did well.
This is the view in Amy's backyard. Pretty awesome huh? It was a really nice break from the heat. It was so awesome to be able to just sit and relax outside. The kids did not need much entertaining with so much space and things to play with.
This is Cale signature duck face.
There is no better place to get your first grass stain than at Aunt Amy's. He was still getting used to walking and toppled over in the grass. It didn't even phase him. He just got up and kept going.
This is Amy husband Wes and their new baby Keegan. This was also the first time we got to meet Keegan.
We went to a car show at a park but enjoyed the play ground more than the cars.

SWINGS!!!

Back at Home

Look how big he is getting!!

The trip started off great. Cale slept almost the entire flight which is always a plus.

As we were driving from Kansas City to K-ville we had the radio playing low (don't worry Cale was not driving this was just a pit stop). We kept hearing the severe weather alert come on, which happens a lot in MO. As we got closer and closer to Kirksville the sky was not looking so good so we turned the radio up and began listening to the report. First we heard that a tornado touched down in Novinger, (the town we were supposed to be staying in) and next we heard that it was heading toward Kirksville. At this point we were about 10 miles outside of Kirksville so we decided to pull off the road. 10 minutes later, about the same time we would of been getting into town, we heard that a tornado touched down in Kirksville. Thank God we did not keep driving.

Cale's favorite food of the moment is watermelon. He will eat and eat and eat until I have to cut him off. He is finally feeding himself which is Awesome!

Look how big he is getting!! Graduation...let the fun begin

In the 2 years Brian and I lived there we never had too big of a scare, but the day we return for graduation, a total of 3 tornadoes touched down in the Kirksville area. Crazy huh?

We drove out to the cabin where we were going to stay and this is what we saw along the way. The cabin was actually all in one piece, but there was no power. many people lost their homes and three people lost their lives.

Now the good news...

Brian is officially finished Medical School!! We are very proud of him.

A lot of Brian's family was able to come out which was really awesome. It was such a blessing that they could be part of his graduation.

The guy whose cabin we were going to stay in put us up at the lake for the first two nights and then we got a hotel in town. They were sold out of hotel rooms months ahead of time but thankfully a room opened up for us.
